A flea bite can cause painful skin irritation which can become sore and itchy with the effects sometimes lasting several weeks. However, for some people a bite may go unnoticed.

Flea Treatment

Fleas are commonly brought into homes and offices by pets or unknowing pet owners. One of the best methods for flea prevention is good hygiene. This includes regular vacuuming and washing pet bedding at high temperatures as this will kill off any stray eggs and larvae.

Flea infestations can be treated, but the source must be treated too, or they’ll be back. Fleas can complete their life cycle in less than one month.

Our flea control services can help with the removal of fleas from both domestic and commercial premises. This will usually involve two treatments depending on the scale of the infestation. All treatments carried out adhere to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Heath) Regulations 2002.

It is important that you do not vacuum the area for at least two weeks. Pets must not be allowed onto the treated areas until it is dry. To ensure successful treatment, please have your pets treated with a reputable anti-flea agent normally recommended by your vet. Immediately following treatment, the adult fleas will die, however the remaining eggs continue to hatch so you may see small amounts of activity up to 14 days after the first treatment. A second treatment is then needed to kill any fleas hatched after the first treatment.
