A flying Ace

A flying Ace

“A flying Ace” is a WW1 term used to describe skilled aviators during aerial combat, which perfectly describes our newest member of the Falconry flying squad, Ace.

Ace is a pure bred Asghar Tiercel Saker Falcon, he’s still young at only a year old, there’s plenty of time for him to learn and develop under our falconer, Ryan’s guidance, Ace will be well-equipped to chase down prey with agility and precision. Ace’s potential is exciting, and with proper training and care, he’s sure to become a versatile member of the bird of prey team once he has settled into his new Urban Family.

The Saker falcon is the second largest falcon species in the world and can reach top speeds of 120-150km/h (approximately 90mph) with a strong hunting instinct and keen intelligence. we are sure these factors and many more will make Ace a valuable asset to the falconry team. Our bird of prey programme offers our commercial sites an environmentally friendly solution to deter pest birds from the area, reducing the amount of bird guano and nest debris left and the mere sight of the falconry team discourages new arrivals from taking up residency.
